The Vidi defender gives a lengthy interview below.

The performance of the team was mixed over the autumn season. How would you sum up the last half year?
The season started a little bit tough. The results did not come at the beginning as we would have wanted to. I felt that there were no problems over the pre-season period. However, we did not step ahead as we had planned to. We were knocked out of the Champions league and then the Europa league. Perhaps I can say on behalf of the whole team that it was hard for us to get back on our feet. We needed to recover and get over the failures at the start. The team were more together after the change of manager. This would later be seen out on the pitch. My own situation was a more reversed. I played regularly at the start of the season. The most important aspect overall is that we were better at the end of the autumn season. We went in to the winter break with a place in the top three.
What was the most memorable match for you?
I would pick out the games in the Champions league and Europa league. Mainly not because of the results, but rather the enjoyment of playing in those games. I would also highlight the final league match at home to Paks. Not only because of the win, but I grew up at the Sostoi stadium and it means everything to me. I said farewell to the stadium with a heavy heart. I am pleased that we managed to win in the final ever game at the old Sostoi stadium.
How did you spend the festive period?
It was mainly focused on relaxing. We did not plan any travelling or any active winter sports. The main emphasis was on resting and being with the family. I did a little bit of training between Christmas and the New Year. We received a personal training plan, which we had to stick to.
Training begins again on Monday. What are your expectations for the next six months?
We can look forward with hope as our performances during the final two months of the autumn season were reassuring. We picked up the results even if the actual match itself was not always pretty. Although we lost against Ferencvaros in one of the last few games, it was not a failure. It is obvious that we would like to close the gap at the top with FTC, which will not be an easy task.
