Bernard Casoni begins work with Vidi

There was a medical check up and a light training session on Monday as pre-season began under the new head coach.

A two week break was followed by the players returning to pre-season on the 15th June. They reported to the CMed Rehabilitation and Diagnostic centre. The players were then split in to two as one group attended the centre while the other underwent a light session at the Sostoi. Bernard Casoni and his new coaching team will hold two daily training sessions until they head off to Austria on the 21st June. The training camp will last until the 30th June. International players Roland Juhasz, Adam Simon, Roland Szolnoki and Mirko Ivanovski will have some extra days off to relax before heading over to the training camp.

Pre-season started with some new faces at the club. Puskas Academy keeper Branislav Danilovic was present, as was Mate Patkai who had spent the last 3,5 seasons in the midfield of Győri ETO. Neither have yet signed a contract with Vidi. Another new face was keeper Peter Gabor who was a part of the Vidi II side last season. Adrian Szekeres returned from a loan deal with Dunaujvaros, while Tomas Tujvel also took part in training after his loan deal came to an end with KTE.

Juan Calatayud's contract runs out with Vidi on the 30th June so he did not report back as a result on the first day of pre-season. Keeper Tamas Horvath has moved to Puskas Academy on a loan deal.
