The players and coaching staff met at 8:45 in the hotel restaurant, where they had breakfast after manager Joan Carrillo had told the players about the plans for the two training sessions on Sunday.

The team bus rolled out at 10am to the nearby training pitch, which is around 10 minutes away. That pitch is also used to play polo on during the summer. However, the quality of the pitch is excellent. SC Freiburg have also been training on the neighbouring pitch. They played their final friendly game on Sunday. The German side also share the same hotel as Vidi, but they will travel home on Monday.

The main focus of the morning session was on the physical side, but the players coped well with it. Juhasz and Vinicius are battling niggling injuries, which is why they sat out the session. The roughly hour and a half session was followed by the team returning back to the hotel. A short rest and lunch at 13:30pm followed, and then another afternoon period to relax. The majority spent this time sleeping in their rooms, but there were those that headed to the masseur room.

The afternoon training session, which was held in pouring rain began at 17:00pm. Roland Juhasz took part in this one.

Dinner was at 20:30pm for the team. Some headed for a massage, which is no surprise: The lads had two tough sessions during the say. There is also plenty of interest in the African Nations Cup, with Stopira also participating. His Cape Verde side drew 1-1 with Tunezia.
