José Gomes: "We started the match nervously. It was clear to see that both teams were playing to win the match. We were able to be more dangerous in the second half. We picked up a very important three points at the home of a very good and well organized team. I am sure that MTK will be in the first division next season. Today's win was down to the performance of the team, but I would like to dedicate my part in this to my Grandfather who celebrated his 101st birthday today, and thankfully he is in perfect health."

Garami József: "It was a battling match and we were the more dangerous in the first half. We had no problems up until the point when Zé Luis came on and Videoton switched to two up front. The shape of the game changed totally at that point. The first Videoton goal was really nice, but I did warn my left back before the match that Alvarez would end up on the right side. Our opponents were closer to the win overall, and Videoton FC ended up deserving to win."
