The 23 year old defender arrived in Szekesfehervar back in September, and even though he has yet to make his debut in a first division match, he played his part in both cup competitions. He also played half a season for the second team, and his performances were enough to earn him a new one year contract extension. Vasilios was pleased to sign the new deal, which will see him remain at the club until May 2013. He also explained just how happy he feels to be at the club. 

"This was a really good year, taking into consideration that a new team was built since last summer. Many players left the club at the end of the season, with several new arrivals joining. We needed time for the players to blend together and get used to playing with each other. We need to improve by just one position next season, in order that we reach our maximum targets. A very difficult series awaits us in the Europa league, but we hope that it will go on for a long time, and it would be fantastic to reach the group stages. There are some strong sides that we could be drawn against, so we will need to prepare seriously. I have been naturally spending my holiday back home in Greece with my family, as there are very few better places to relax and unwind as when your at home."
