Antal Roth missed the first match involving his young U21 side, due to an upset stomach. Hungary are currently participating in the U21 tournament in Toulon, France, in an event that includes eight other U21 sides. Hungary have been grouped together with France, Mexico and China. Goals from Katona, Futacs and Eppel were enough to give Roth's Hungary side a 3-0 win over China. Videoton's Andras Gosztonyi set up Katona's goals with a lovely cross after 42 minutes.Andras Gosztonyi: "The tournament has began well for us, even though we knew very little about the Chinese before the match. We managed to beat them. Our opponents battled throughout the match, and made things difficult for us. We were the better side, showing more creativity and we also had more of the ball. I feel that the result is a true mirror of the match. Manager Antal Roth missed the game due to illness, but this did not effect our game. Luckily he was able to return to the squad following a check up at the local hospital."

Hungary's olympic side next play on Saturday against Mexico.
