Photo908A Vidi történetének legnagyobb alakjai közé tartozik Tímár Mihály. A fehérvári születésű egykori kapus 1959-ben a feloszlott Petőfiből került át és onnantól bő egy évtizeden át az eredetileg a MÁV Előréhez átsorolt, majd mégis hozzánk igazolt Varga Józseffel együtt a csapat kapuspárja voltak, felváltva, rövidebb időszakokon keresztül védve a kaput.
182 bajnoki fűződik a nevéhez, amiből 29-et az NB I-ben játszott - többek között klubunk történetének első élvonalbeli meccsén. Kétszeres másodosztályú bajnok, aki még az 1970-71-es idényt is vállalta, bár pályára már nem lépett, inkább kapusedző-játékosként mentorálta Magyar Gábort és Szabó Istvánt.
Amikor nem volt élvonalbeli játékos, a Videoton-gyárban dolgozott, amely pozíciót visszavonulása után is évtizedekig betöltötte.
