A védő alig a húszon túl mutatkozott be a Tenerife spanyol második ligás csapatában, és a következő évében már stabil csapattagnak számított. A Tenerife 2009-ben feljutott a spanyol első osztályba, így Hector olyan csapatok ellen bizonyíthatta képességeit, mint a Valencia vagy a Barcelona.
Székesfehérvárra 2011 nyarán már a Villarreal B együttesétől került – ahol szintén kezdőként számítottak rá. Első vidis idényében 3 gólpasszal segítette a támadószekciót, és többször is remek játékkal hívta fel magár a figyelmet, például a Kecskemét elleni győzelem alkalmával.
