Gyereksarok997A Vidi történetének legnagyobbjai közé tartozik "Boci", azaz Bognár Ferenc. A balatonlellei születésű egykori hátvéd már 1955-ben debütált csapatunkban és összesen csaknem 300 (!) bajnokin lépett pályára színeinkben - négy olyan idény is akadt, amelyet teljesen végigjátszott.
Játékospályafutása megkoronázásaként 1967-ben megnyerte az NB I/B-t és a Vidi történetében először feljutott a csapattal az élvonalba. Ott még egy idényt húzott le, majd csapatkapitányként (mely tisztséget az 1960-as évek szinte egészében betöltötte) visszavonult (levezetésképp még az Alba Regiában játszott).
A csapattól viszont nem távolodott el, különböző pozíciókban segítette a vezetés munkáját, egész életét a klubnak szentelte. Volt többek közt szakosztály-vezetőségi tag, szakosztályvezető, szakosztálytitkár, 1975-től a tartalékcsapat vezetőedzője. 1988-ig, majd 1990-től újra a Vidinél dolgozott, szakosztályvezetőként. 1997-től 1999-ig klubtitkár volt.

Ott még egy idényt húzott le, majd csapatkapitányként (mely tisztséget az 1960-as évek szinte egészében betöltötte) visszavonult (levezetésképp még az Alba Regiában játszott).
A csapattól viszont nem távolodott el, különböző pozíciókban segítette a vezetés munkáját, egész életét a klubnak szentelte. Volt többek közt szakosztály-vezetőségi tag, szakosztályvezető, szakosztálytitkár, 1975-től a tartalékcsapat vezetőedzője. 1988-ig, majd 1990-től újra a Vidinél dolgozott, szakosztályvezetőként. 1997-től 1999-ig klubtitkár volt.
Bognár Ferenc 2012. 02. 20-án hunyt el Székesfehérváron.
