On the 28th June 2012, Stopira, then 24 years old, signed a three-year contract with our club. Over the years, our club has extended the contract of our Cape Verde national team defender, who has spent a total of 11 years with our club.

He has celebrated two Hungarian league titles (2015, 2018), one Super Cup (2012) and one Hungarian Cup (2019), and has twice played in the group stages of the EL with Vidi (2012, 2018).

He has played more international matches for Vidi than any other player and has played in 51 European cup matches for our club (26 EL qualifiers, 10 EL group matches, 8 CL qualifiers, 7 ECL qualifiers). He has played a total of 265 times for Vidi in the NB I, 32 times in the Hungarian Cup, six times in the League Cup and once in the Super Cup final, making a total of 304 matches for Vidi.

For a defender, he scored a lot of goals, 22 in the NB I, 5 in the Hungarian Cup and 4 in European competition. In 2018, Stopira was also elected to the HLSZ Dream Team, and we would like to thank him for all he has done for our club and wish him all the best for his future career!
