After the pre-season games against Dunaújváros and Ajka, our head coach Michael Boris gave an interview to Nemzeti Sport before the training camp in Austria.

"Up to now, the focus has been mostly on fitness training, with less emphasis on tactics, but this was also due to the fact that we were working with a small squad. Now almost all the national team players are back, so in Austria there is more emphasis on tactics and practising situations. This will be the most important task for us in the three weeks leading up to our first competitive match, and in Austria we will be able to measure our progress against three strong opponents. I would like to see us do what we did in the last nine games of the last season: whichever player is in the starting line-up, everyone knows exactly what their role is in their position," said Michael Boris, who also talked about the goals for the new season.

"As the head coach of MTK, I didn't talk about league places either, only points. We went unbeaten in the last nine rounds of the previous championship, picking up nineteen points. For the time being, the goal is to collect that many points in every third of next season. If we can do that three times, we would be on fifty-seven points, which would guarantee us a place in European competition and maybe a silver medal. We can also talk about wanting to reach the final of the Hungarian Cup, but that applies equally to the other eleven teams in the league. Now is the time to be modest and set realistic goals."
