National team: 2-1 defeat away in Italy

Hungary were in action on Tuesday evening with both Loic Nego and Attila Fiola featuring.

After a very big victory over England on Saturday night, the Hungarian national football team led by Marco Rossi took on defending champions Italy in Cesena on Tuesday in the Nations League Division A.

MOL Fehérvár FC's Loic Nego was in the starting line-up with Attila Fiola on the bench. The home side took the lead through Barella and although Nego made a great tackle in the 43rd minute to prevent the Italians' second goal, Pellegrini scored a minute before the end of the half to give the home side a 2-0 lead going into the break.

In the 53rd minute, after a great deep cross by Nego, Sallai got into position, but Donnarumma saved, and in the 58th minute the two Vidi players changed, with Attila Fiola coming on for Nego. Fiola put in a cross in the 61st minute from the right, and Mancini, who was trying to clear, put the ball into his own goal.

Later in the second half, former Vidi player Bendegúz Bolla also came on the pitch, but the result remained the same, as the defending champions kept the three points at home with a 2-1 win. The Hungarian national team will next play Germany on Saturday at the Puskás Arena.
