In match 7 of the OTP Bank Liga we hosted the Puskás Akadémia FC on Saturday evening. The team from Felcsút went into the game sitting in fourth place. This time, head coach Imre Szabics picked: Kovács D. - Nego, Rus, Fiola, Stopira - Dárdai, Szendrei, Makarenko, Heister - Nikolics, Jallow.

Before the kick-off, Nemanja Nikolic was greeted on behalf of the club by István Sallói, after our team captain played his 200th NB I match for Vidi in the recent match against FTC.

The game started with a one-on-one, first Jallow shot from 13 meters after dribbling into position but Tóth saved confidently, then at the other end Corbu tried from a sharp angle, which home keeper Kovács saved. In the 7th minute Zsolt Nagy's 17 metre shot missed the target, while in the 10th minute Dárdai shot over from 18 metres. Halfway through the half, Favorov's 16-metre shot was saved by Kovács, and soon afterwards Stopira headed a Nego cross at goal, but Tóth had no trouble. In the 30th minute, Slagveer went down the right and crossed for Kozák to head onto the post. Two minutes later, Corbu's 18-metre shot bounced out off the post, and in the 37th minute Fiola made a fantastic tackle from Gera, who was about to shoot. Just before the break, Gera's shot was saved by Kovács, but no goal was scored and the teams went in at the break with a 0-0 scoreline.

At the beginning of the second half, Gera rolled a 20-metre shot at goal, which was saved by Kovács, and Zsolt Nagy then headed 10 metres over the goal. In the 55th minute, Heister's long-range powerful shot whizzed just wide of the Felcsút goal. Another five minutes and we had our best chance so far, Funsho's cross bounced off a defender to Dárdai, who shot from a few metres out, but Tóth saved well. In the 66th minute Yoell Van Nieff made a very bad challenge on Nikolic,  and referee Solymosi had the Dutch player sent off with the help of VAR. 10 minutes later, Funsho's cross found Dardai in a great position, but the unmarked midfielder missed the ball by a hair's breadth. In the 84th minute, Petrjak received a good ball from Nikolic, but his shot was cleared away by Spandler. We could have won the game at the end of 4 minutes of extra time, at the end of a counter-attack, Funsho brought the ball up, he went to the right of Nikolic, but he shot 17 meters at goal, which Tóth saved well.

There was no goal scored in the match and Vidi next face a trip to DVSC next weekend.
