The Vidi forward was part of the national team, which picked up 7 points from 9 last week.

- You scored your first national team goal against Andorra in 2013, and almost 8 years later you played your part in another success against Andorra with two very good goal passes. How would you rate our latest World Cup qualifier?
I am very happy that we managed to confidently win away. It was a special experience to be able to play in front of spectators again, if only in limited numbers, were admitted into the stadium. Fortunately, supporters can return to the stands in more and more places, I am very confident that this will soon take place in Hungary as well. I admit it was a little weird at first that we were able to play football in front of spectators, I don’t even remember the last time we had the opportunity to do so. By the way, pretty much what we expected happened on the pitch. We knew the home team would do everything they could to make things harder, we were also prepared for them to provoke us during the 90 minutes and that happened as they were looking for contact without the ball. I feel like we managed to handle this situation well and they couldn’t upset us. Artificial grass did not alleviate our situation either, but we also managed to cope with this obstacle. I am proud of the national team as we succeeded as we have planned.

- I think this is true not only for the match against Andorra, but also for the World Cup qualifiers so far.
Yes, although we have a sense of lack in retrospect, because we lost two points against Poland. Previously, we planned to get a minimum of 7 points from the first three games. However, we had every chance to collect 9 points, unfortunately due to a one and a half minute period when we switched off, this eventually resulted in 7 points. Overall, however, I see things positively, in my opinion the national team has improved a lot, as we have collected seven out of the nine points available and yet no one is fully satisfied, which means we are all maximalists. We are not satisfied with being good, we want to achieve even better. The attitude of the national team and its desire to win was already felt in the Nations League series. And teamwork, if you can say, has gotten even better, and that’s an extremely important factor. Barely two months time and at the European Championships, it is obvious that all players are very motivated, no one wants to miss the summer tournament, which is why everyone is full of a desire to show what they can do. And the Hungarian national team can only benefit from this competitive situation. Everyone is hungry for success.

- Do you agree that in the past it was not typical for you to draw attention to yourself with goal passes, but lately you have been putting your teammates in an unmissable positions for Vidi and now the national team?
Yes, I agree with that. I’m just as happy when I can provide an assist as when I score a goal. I feel like since I returned to Vidi, I’ve improved a lot in terms of being able to serve my teammates if that’s the game situation. This is not to say that my appetite for scoring has diminished, as I continue to have a serious target of being the most successful Vidi player, but my own interests should not be put before the interests of the team and if one of my teammates is in a better position than me, I'll pass the ball to him.
