Samy Bourard was born in Liege, Belgium on the 29th March 1996. He went through the ranks of RFC Liege, from where he moved to the youth academy of Anderlecht in 2012. He saw Roland Juhasz play for them many times. Bourard made his debut in the Belgium first division for Sint-Truiden in 2017. He later signed for Dutch club FC Eindhoven in 2018, before joining ADO Den Haag last summer. One of his best games was last December in the Dutch league against current league leaders AFC Ajax. Although Den Haag lost 4-2, Bourard scored one of his sides goals in that game and also provided an assist.

He played in 63 games for FC Eindhoven and scored 17 goals. There were a further 19 appearances for ADO Den Haag that produced 3 goals. He earlier represented Belgium at both U17 and U18 level. The midfielder will celebrate his 25th birthday next month.
