Hungary put in another good performance as they drew 0-0 in Moscow on Wednesday evening.

The Hungarian national team had already won two away matches in the last week: they won 3-1 in Bulgaria and 1-0 in Serbia. On Wednesday night, they were in action in Russia in the Nations League. Manager Marko Rossi chose the following side, which included two players from Vidi: Dibusz - Szalai, Orbán, Nego, Szalai, Holender, Kalmár, Botka, Gazdag, Sigér, Nikolic.
Nikolic could have put the ball in the Russians' net in the first minute, but Sunyin was able to save our striker's shot from 10-meters. In the 15th minute, Szalai's long range shot went just over the top right corner. The Hungarian national team played brave football at the home of the Russian national team. In the 26th minute, the ball bounced in front of Orbán, and he struck powerfully from 17 meters above the bar. In the rest of the first half it was a balanced game, with no serious chances in front of either goal.
During the break, Holender was replaced by Fiola, so that made it three Vidi players on the pitch at the same time. In the 54th minute, Dibusz did very well to block Juba's 12-meter strike. In the 58th minute, Ionov shot from 12 meters and found the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Nego connected with Varga's cross but it struck Zsirkov. Fiola received a yellow card in the 71st minute, so he will not be able to play in the next Nations League match due to a yellow card ban. The game ended with a 0-0 scoreline and a point to sit in second place in the table behind Russia. Turkey and Serbia shared a 2-2 draw in the other match in the group. Hungary are next in action on the 12th November in a very important game at home to Iceland at the Puskas Arena. A win in that match would see them qualify for the Euro Championships.
