On Thursday at 18.00pm, we will entertain the Stade de Reims in the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League in a match behind closed doors.

They have won the French league six times and finished last season in sixth place to qualify for Europe and begin in the EL Q2. They travelled to Swiss side Servette and won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Berisha. It was their first game in Europe since 1963.

The new season has not started well for Reims with just 1 point picked up from four games and that was a 2-2 draw at Monaco in the season opener. They have since lost three games to Lille (0-1), Angers (0-1) and at Metz most recently (1-2). That puts them in 19th place out of 20 in the French league. Only Dijon lie beneath them on zero points. Reims will play PSG after Thursday's EL game against Vidi, who sit in joint top place with Rennes. So David Guion has a tough period ahead with this team.

The Reims squad is currently valued at 73 million euros according to transfermarkt.com with their most valued player being Serbian keeper Predrag Rajkovic (8 million euros), and striker Boulaye Dia with a 6 million price tag. French midfielder Mathieu Cafaro is also valued on 6 million euros. 

Their 52 year old manager David Guion has led the team for more than 3 years and he usually goes for the 1-4-2-3-1 formation.
