Round six of the MOL Hungarian Cup saw Vidi enter the competition and make the visit to county 1 league side Tiszafoldvar on Sunday afternoon. A place in the next round of 64 was on offer for Gabor Marton and his side. The Vidi manager chose the following eleven for the game: Rockov - Bolla, Vago, Toth., Hangya - Patkai, Kovacs- Funsho, Geresi, Evandro - Nikolic, It was a young side with Vago and Toth partnering each other at the heart of defence. Krisztian Geresi started a Vidi match for the first time in 1023 days. 

Nikolic had the first chance on 3 minutes with Geresi also targetting the goal a minute later. Geresi found himself with a chance on goal after 8 minutes, but he shot over. Gerhat in the home goal saved the first of several after 12 minutes. Vidi went ahead after 15 minutes when Geresi shot powerfully from 16 meters with his left foot to make it 0-1.

A couple of minutes later and Nikolic shot from a tight angle with his left foot, which brought a good save out of Gerhat. The first chance for the home side arrived after 19 minutes when Abel shot over from 25 meters following a free kick. Moments later and a cross from Geresi ended with Kovacs showing good movement to volley at goal from 12 meters, but Gerhat was well placed to save really well. Abel received a good ball on 22 minutes and then lifted the ball over Rockov in the Vidi goal, but the ball came back off the bar. Geresi had another good chance after 24 minutes when he curled a shot towards the top left. The Tiszafoldvari keeper showed another great save after 27 minutes. Geresi was then brought down after 32 minutes and the referee pointed at the spot. Nikolic confidently dispatched the penalty to make it 0-2. 

Nikolic twice had chances towards the end of the first half but the teams went in at the break with Vidi leading 2-0 and looking to build on that in the second period. 

The second half began with a shot from distance by Bolla that was saved by Gerhat. Not long after and Abel shot from a tight angle, which Rockov saved with his foot. Istvan Kovacs then shot wide not long after. Rockov was in the right place after 59 minutes to save a free kick from distance. Evandro found the crossbar with an impressive shot after 64 minutes but he did even better 2 minutes later. He took the ball from the left on the edge of the box and curled a fine ball into the net to make it 0-3.

Marcell Papp came on after 69 minutes to make his debut in the first team and he was quick to send a dangerous shot at goal, which came off a defender and out for a corner. A cross from Funsho 8 minutes later from the right was connected with by Nikolic in the middle who scored his second and Vidi's fourth goal to increase the score to 0-4.

Marcell Papp sent his shot into the back of the net after 83 minutes from 20 meters to make it 0-5. Papp would have a further two chances near the end including a shot from 17 meters that went wide and one from 13 meters, which went over. The referee blew for full-time and Vidi progress to the next round with a comfortable 5-0 win. They are next in action on Thursday evening in the Europa League Q3 against French side Stade de Reims.
