We are pleased to announce Vidi's fourth summer signing, Alef.

Alef dos Santos Saldanha was born on the 28th January 1995 in Nova Odessa, Brazil. His career began with Ponte Preta but he has been a Braga player since 2015. He has gone out on loan to several clubs in recent years. Those include Umm Salal of Qatar, Apollon Limassol of Cyprus as well as APOEL. There was also a season spent on loan with AEK Athens. He actually played against Vidi back in 2018 for the Greek side in the Champions League play-off. Capped by the Brazilian U20 side, he was part of the Brazilian U20 side that finished second at the 2015 World Cup. He played in 5 of those games during the tournament and one of those was against Hungary, which he played the entire 90 minutes in. He has twice played in the EL group stage over the last three years. Those came for Apollon and APOEL. He also featured once in the CL group stage for AEK of Greece. Game in the EL saw him play against sides such as Olympique Lyon, Everton, Atalanta, Sevilla FC and FC Basel. The CL saw him up against Ajax and FC Bayern Munchen. 

The 186 cm tall defensive midfielder will wear the number 95 shirt for our club.
