We visited Paks FC in the 26th round of the OTP Bank League NB I. The host side went into the game sitting in 11th in the league table. It was the third time the two sides faced each other this season after we won 2-0 in Paks in the summer, but in December the Greens won 2-0 at the MOL Arena Sóstó. Joan Carrillo also changed his starting team in three places, with Musliu, Nikolics and Elek being replaced by Juhász, Hodzic and Pátkai.

We started the match well, and in the 5th minute Petryak's shot was well saved by the Paks goalkeeper. The game continued with Paks also being dangerous in the 17th minute as Haraszti found Könyves with a good ball, but he failed to connect in what was a big chance. Then Pátkai cleared a low cross in front of our goal. In the 20th minute, Fiola was injured and could not continue and he was replaced by Adrian Rus in the right back position. We learned from club Dr. Tibor Kovács, that Fiola had to be replaced due to pain in his right thigh.

In the 27th minute, following a corner from Houri', Stopira headed wide at the far post. Three minutes later, Rus brought down Konyves on the edge of the box. The resulting free kick was curled over by Haraszti. In the 32nd minute there was another chance for Paks: Haraszti's corss was flicked on by Böde, with Vinícius clearing the ball, but it fell to János Szabó whose shot from 25 meters went just wide of the bottom left corner. A minute later, Petryak's shot at the other end flew across the goalmouth and just failed to find the back of the net as it sailed wide, which was the last chance of the half.

There were no changes at the break from either manager. The second half started with a chance for the home side: Kovácsik punched a cross out, which fell to Könyves who sent his effort wide. It was similar at the other end from  Hodzic who shot wide of the target from the right side of the box. In the 51st minute, Stopira was well placed but his shot was knocked out by Rácz, and Petryak blasted the rebound from 10 meters over. Three minutes later, Houri sent a curling free kick from 25 yards into the arms of keeper Rácz. We remained on the attack, as Petryak dribbled well before finding Hodzic, who fired from 16 meters wide of the bottom left.

In the 74th minute, Kecskés passed the ball back to his own keeper and Nikolics confused the Paks goalkeeper, who finally grabbed the ball 3 meters from the goal. Instead of an indirect free kick, the referee waved play on and even showed a yellow card to Nikolics for his protest.

In the last quarter hour of the match, there was no more serious chances in front of goal so the match ended in a 0-0 draw. Our team will host Kisvárda at the MOL Arena Sóstó next Saturday at 19:00.
