- The league season was suspended in the middle of March. How have your days been going and how have you managed to adjust to the new situation?

The current situation is extremely difficult for me as I am away from my family. I have no realistic chance of seeing them in the near future and being together. The internet helps me to remain in a daily connection with them but it is not the same as being together with those you love. Thankfully they are safe back at home and I fully feel secure here in Szekesfehervar. I train a lot each day and try to keep in good strength. The days seem to be the same. I watch TV or read a book when I am not training and often play with my friends on Playstation online. However, this is not enough. I really miss playing football and cannot remember such a period like this without as much football as now. Naturally there were times in my playing career when I was injured and could not play. I hope that we are able to complete the season even if it means playing behind closed doors in stadiums. I know it is a horrible feeling playing football in empty stadiums but perhaps we can profit a little from the current situation. The people are at home and they do not have the chance to do too many things. If the season is able to continue, then I am sure that many of them will watch our games on TV as they did before. 

- You mentioned that your family are save back at home. What is the situation regarding the virus back in your own country and how serious is the situation?

Fortunately the virus has not caused too many problems health wise as it has in many countries around Europe or the USA. At the same time people are very scared, which I can understand as the health system is not the best back home. Many have lost their jobs and life in the Cape Verde has practically ground to a halt. The borders have closed and many lived from day to day without being able to put any money aside. Together with my international team mates, we have donated a lot to various home organisations. I hope that it gives a little bit of help to those in trouble back at home.
