The midfielder looks ahead to Saturday's match in the Hungarian Cup.

Eger are the opponents in the Hungarian Cup on Saturday for cup holders Vidi. The NB III side will take on MOL Fehervar FC on the 21st September with an early 11:45am kick off. We spoke with Istvan Kovacs ahead of that match.
"Last season turned out really well for us as we won the Hungarian Cup. Those players that have been with our club for a while will know that we wanted to win it for a long time. We did not manage to do that and suffered cup shocks against lower league opponents. Our new players have been told about our record in the cup and they know that they must not take these games lightly. This is because our opponents often view matches against us as their most important of the year. We need to go in to our game with Eger with a professional attitude. We have a very strong squad and we have signed good players. We have 23-24 players of similar ability. The game will kick off at a very strange time and I think the last time I played in a game this early was as a youth player. I am pleased that the Hungarian Cup has been switched to weekends. That means lower league clubs will have the chance to have more supporters attend games. I think we will have the same pressure on us as we did in recent years but it was harder as we also had to play Europa league matches. We want to win the league title and the Hungarian Cup and that can begin with a win away at Eger." - commented Istvan Kovacs.

If we win next week against Stade de Reims, we will play away in the EL playoffs against the winners of the Standard de Liège - Vojvodina match.

If we can advance against the French side Stade de Reims, we could even play against English club Tottenham in the EL playoffs.
