"I consider the 2018/2019 season to be a successful one. We won the Hungarian Cup for the second time in our history and also qualified for the EL group stage for the first time since 2012. Sadly we were unable to defend our league title so there is that feeling of missing out inside us. We worked really hard to do well both domestically and in Europe. The Autumn was all about our participation in Europe and we played in so many excellent matches. I hope that we provided pleasure and happiness to many people with the results we picked up. We also tried hard to do well in the league and also in the Hungarian Cup, which we took seriously throughout. Now that we know that Chelsea won the Europa League, it makes the 2-2 draw at home with them even better. The EL Group Stage in 2018 was totally different to the one in 2012. Everything was so new for me seven years ago when I arrived in Hungary. I could not grasp then the importance of those games and what it means here. Now seven years later and as a Hungarian international, I can feel the feeling really well and to represent Hungarian football on the international stage. I want to enjoy this feeling several times more with Vidi and with the Hungarian team. I really hope that in 2019-2020, we will be just as successful as the season has been" - commented Paulo Vinicius.
