Dinamo Zagreb and MOL Vidi FC have agreed on the transfer of Armin Hodzic, who will continue his career in the red and blue shirt.

The Bosnian goalscoring forward was born in Sarajevo on the 17th November 1994. He came through the youth system at Zeljeznicar and moved to English club Liverpool at the age of 16. He did not make the first team at the Merseyside club, before returning to Zeljeznicar and scored 18 goals in 49 games. 

He then moved to Dinamo Zagreb and has scored 51 goals in 111 matches for them. He also featured in the Champions League group stage and scored in the away match against Olympiacos. He has played 5 times for the Bosnian national team.

"I am excited and happy to be here. I am ready to go out there onto the pitch and score goals in a Vidi shirt. I have joined a big club and I hope that we can play in the Champions League in a couple of weeks time. Hopefully I can be part of that and help the team to move forward step by step. What can the supporters expect from me? Goals! But jokes aside I am not only a forward but also like to play on the left wing. I do not think that there is too much difference between the Hungarian and Croatian leagues, but I would only have joined Vidi out of the Hungarian clubs when leaving Dinamo. There are very big targets here and I can also play in Europe. I have spoken with Anel Hadzic before signing, as I know him from the national team. I also spoke with Asmir Suljic, and he also said many good things about the club, so I know that I have joined a good club" - commented the forward after signing the contract.

"We have worked a lot on this transfer and we wanted to strengthen the squad with a forward. Each club and player that we looked at had to be taken into consideration with regards to the competition they were in and us reaching the stage we have. Once we qualified for the group stages in Europe, we experienced straight away that those footballers that we could not attract to the Hungarian league, would be open to join. We all need to work on this to make sure we change. We have taken a big step forward and hopefully do even more over the autumn. We need to sign players of the calibre like Armin Hodzic. We are proud to have brought a young, but experienced player to our squad. He has played in the group stages of the Champions League and Europa League. I am sure that Armin will provide competition for places, and will help MOL Vidi FC with goals, while settling into our club quickly. Although he cannot play in the second leg of the game with AEK, he will not be available for the manager as he has already played in one of the CL qualifiers" - commented Zoltan Kovacs.

Armin Hodzic has signed a long term deal and will wear the number 15 shirt.
