Manager Marko Nikolic held a press conference ahead of Monday evening's training session in Luxembourg.

MOL Vidi FC will play their first competitive game of the 2018-19 season on the 10th July at 18.00pm. The team will be up against Luxembourg side F91 Dudelange in the CL Q1 1st leg. The squad headed off for a period of rest following lunch on Monday. They then had a training session under manager Marko Nikolic at the Stade Jos Nosbaum, which is the setting for Tuesday's game. The opponents held a training session at the same time. Marko Nikolic was present to meet the press before Monday's session.
"The Champions League is the biggest club competition in the world. It is an honour for us to take part in it. We have been drawn against very uncomfortable opponents in the first qualifying round. We know that we are regarded as the favourites but we have seen Dudelange spring surprises in recent years. I am thinking here about matches against Ludogorets and Salzburg. Our aim is naturally to make it into the next round. We have tried our best to get the best information on Dudelange from their pre-season and friendly games. It was not an easy task but we have managed to gain information that was needed. I feel that we are ready for Tuesday's game. We have not had too much time to prepare for the qualifiers after the season has ended. However, I will repeat that we are ready for the game on Tuesday."
The manager was also asked if he was concerned about any of the players from Dudelange.
"You will not be aware but I never go into detail regarding individual analysis, which applies to my own players. Naturally we know the opponents and we know that 10 new players have arrived in their team. We have footage of them and of their summer friendly games. We are aware of their playing style and we respect them. We are not worried about any side. If we would play Real Madrid, I would say that we have to believe in ourselves."

The goalkeeper shared his thoughts on the first leg game in Luxembourg.

The two managers spoke after the final whistle.

The two sides will meet again in a week after playing out a first leg 1-1 draw.

The squad travelled out for the first leg on Monday morning and held a training session in the evening.

Vidi have travelled out for the first leg CL Q1 qualifier, which will be played on Tuesday.

The first leg will be away with the second leg a week later at the Pancho Arena in Felcsut.
