Anel Hadzic has signed a new extension to his contract that was due to end on the 30th June. He has now committed himself to the club in a long term deal. Capped 14 times for Bosnia, he arrived in Szekesfehervar in August 2016 and has gone on to make 48 league appearances, which have produced 9 goals. He also made a further 7 Europa League appearances in 2017/18. The 28 year old celebrated a title win with Vidi this summer. 

„Actually it was never a question that I would like to continue here at Vidi. I am pleased that we managed to agree terms. The team is good and my family is close to me including my girlfriend. I would add that the atmosphere within the dressing room is also very good so I am pleased to remain here. I hope that the league title win was only the first step and now I would like to defend that next season. I also want us to win the Hungarian cup. We are preparing for the Champions League qualifiers and there are two weeks still before the first leg. We are working each day to reach our targets. I want us to do well in Europe and go as far as we can" - commented Anel Hadzic after signing his new contract.

„Anel Hadzic has been a stable member of Vidi since he arrived. He was a balanced player already in his first year with us and performed well. He did even better in the season just finished, which resulted in a league title success. I felt he was a better player over the spring than in the autumn. It was never a question that we wanted to extend his contract. It is true that there were enquiries from clubs abroad but I never felt that he wanted to leave. I am also pleased that he has returned back to playing for the Bosnian national team since joining Vidi. I hope that he can represent his country even more in the future. That will also improve the prestige of our club. I can say that we agreed this new deal weeks ago but we did not want to make anything public until he actually signed.
