The U14 side overtook the Puskas Academy by two points in the one but final league game to go top of the table. There has been a massive battle for top spot all year. The youngsters trained together with the senior side on Thursday afternoon. There was close to 150 present to witness the deciding game against Vasas.

Several members of the RBD were also there together with the many parents to provide a good atmosphere at the Sosto. Club owner Istvan Garancsi was present together with Director of Football Zoltan Kovacs.

There was a minutes silence held in honour of Ferenc Kovacs, who sadly passed away during the week. The first chance arrived very early on with a close range shot from Mark Petres, which was well saved by the visiting keeper. The Budapest side were celebrating a goal a minute later. A Pall shot was parried by Dala, but the rebound was converted from close range (0-1). Fortunately the early conceded goal was cancelled out on 22 minutes after a Morvai free kick was headed nicely into the back of the net by Horvath (1-1).

The second half saw even more pressure on the visiting goal, which resulted in a goal on the hour. A nice move saw Petres pass to Fiath, who made no mistake from 16 meters (2-1).

Petres could have decided the game after 73 minutes, but his good chance was well saved by Torok. Petres continued to be in the thick of things as the game continued. He was unselfish to find Szombati, who made no mistake to make the score 3-1. Vasas Kubala Academy scored a late consolation but it was the young Vidi side that were crowned league champions. 

There was plenty of celebration at the final whistle with the young Vidi players being joined by the RBD supporters. That means that the U14 side join the senior Vidi team in being league title winners.
