Macedonia also had international friendlies during the league break, just as Hungary did. Vidi midfielder Boban Nikolov linked up with Macedonia for his sides games against Finland and Azerbajan. 

The games in Belek, Turkey saw Macedonia first face Finland. Igor Angelovski's side drew 0-0 with Nikolov coming on in the 66th minute. Four days later, the second friendly game resulted in another draw and a 1-1 result against Azerbajan. Nikolov started in this friendly and played until the 69th minute.
