Videoton defender Stopira has been called up by Cape Verde for their World Cup qualifier against Senegal on the 7th October. Cape Verde beat South Africa in both the home and away qualifiers at the start of September to make the next game that much more important. 

He hopes to make his 15th appearance for his country since signing for Videoton. The game with Senegal will be followed by a trip to Burkina Faso and only then will it be determined whether they will qualify for the finals in Russia in 2018.
