Videoton were in friendly action on Wednesday as they played their third game at their Austrian training camp. The first chance fell to youngster Bence Szabo in the 3rd minute, but the Croatian keeper did not have to save the effort. Szabo again had a chance in front of goal in the 43rd minute following a nice cross from Tamas, but although he made a good run into the box, he could not make contact with it. The teams went in at the break with Videoton leading 1-0.
There were two minutes played in the second half when Maric stepped in between the two defenders, and the Croatian forward tried to pass to Geresi, but one of the defenders managed to get back in time and the ball came off him and into the hands of the keeper. The Croatian side also threatened after 55 minutes but Vinicius slid in to clear the danger following a cross from the right. The 71st minute saw Kovacs play the ball on to Maric, and he crossed towards Geresi, who headed the ball wide of the goal from close range. Vidi were awarded another penalty 12 minutes later after Hadzic was fouled inside the box. Mirko Maric stood behind the ball and made no mistake as he found the back of the net to make it 2-0. A Sejben ball through to Geresi after 84 minutes ended with the ball going wide of the target. There was no further change to the scoreline and Vidi won the latest friendly match without conceding a goal.
