Mirko Maric has signed for Videoton FC after agreeing terms with both the player and his former club Dinamo Zagreb. Maric was born in Mostar, Bosnia Hercegovina on the 16th May 1995. He also has Croatian dual nationality but started his career with NK Siroki Brijeg, making 46 appearances and scoring 12 times. It was at this point in 2014 that he moved to Croatian star side Dinamo Zagreb. The 21 year old spent a short period there before moving to fellow Croatian first division side NK Lokomotiva Zagreb in a loan deal. Maric scored 17 times for them in 73 league appearances. In total he has 94 appearances to his name and has scored 28 goals and a further 7 assists for that club. 

Mirko has been a constant member of the Bosnian youth sides, before also representing the Croatian U21 national team. He also made his debut for the Croatian national side in friendly matches against China and Chile after receiving a call up from national team boss Ante Cacic.

There are players here from the former Yugoslavia so I do not think that there will be any problems adjusting quickly. I have come here to help Vidi win the league title. It would be good to make it through to the group stage of either European competition" - commented Mirko Maric after signing for the club.

Mirko is a classical forward who feels good in front of goal. He plays in a similar style to Marko Scepovic, and is a left footed 21 year old.
