Videoton were back in OTP league action on Saturday afternoon with Paks being the visitors at the Pancho Arena in Felcsut. The month of October also means the battle against breast cancer and the players emerged from the players tunnel wearing pink shirts.

There was also a minute silence before kick off after the sad and sudden recent passing of a Videoton supporter. Videoton went into the game in third place in the OTP league with three points on offer. The game did not start in the best of ways for the home team. There was just 3 minutes on the clock when Paks won a corner. The resulting kick ended with the ball at Hahn, who made no mistake from close range to make it 0-1. Fortunately this failed to dislodge Videoton and the response was quick in coming. The equaliser arrived in the 10th minute: Geresi won the ball in the Paks half, and played a one-two, before shooting at goal from 26 meters. The ball sailed past the keeper and nestled in the back of the net (1-1). Geresi could have put Videoton ahead after 23 minutes, but his volley rattled the post and the rebound fell to Patkai, who was brought down inside the box. The referee did not hesitate and pointed at the spot. Scepovic stood behind the ball and calmly placed the ball in to the back of the net (2-1).

The action continued with another goal for the home supporters to celebrate! Szolnoki sent a lovely 30 meters pass from the left wing to Scepovic. The forward showed good control inside the Paks box, before calmly slipping the ball into the back of the net (3-1). The visitors were then reduced to ten men towards the end of the first half. Janos Szabo fouled Nego, who was running clear at goal, and referee Farkas brought the red card out and Szabo headed for the dressing room.

Vidi continued to press forward in the second half in search of goal number four. A long throw from Szolnoki was headed on by Scepovic into the path of Patkai, who showed good movement to lift the ball over the Paks keeper, but just over the bar. Another fine ball from Szolnoki a minute later produced a lovely goal. This time the ball found Hadzic, who scored a great goal from a tight angle to make it 4-1. It was also the midfielder's first goal in the Hungarian first division.

Paks were reduced to nine men after 50 minutes when Kecskes was shown a second yellow card. He went down inside the box, and the referee judged that no contact had been made.

Lazovic made his way onto the scoreboard as he scored goal number five to make it 5-1. Scepovic showed great control from a long ball to him, and one Serbian found the other to slip the ball home from 11 meters out. The remaining 25 minutes saw a promising Bodi free kick among the more serious of chances. The final whistle blew and Videoton run out 5-1 winners. Vidi are in Hungarian cup action during the week with a visit to Mako. They are back in league action next Saturday when they travel to Budapest to face Vasas.
