Anel Hadzic joins Videoton FC

The Bosnian international has strengthened Vidi's squad.

Anel Hadzic signed for Videoton FC on Monday afternoon. The 14 times capped Bosnian international was most recently playing in Turkey. He was born on the 16th August 1989 in Velika Kladusa, but moved to Austria at a young age where he started playing football. Hadzic joined FC Ried at the age of 10 years old, and made his way through the youth system to play 190 times for them. He scored 25 goals in those matches.

The 27 year old midfielder then moved to Sturm Graz in the summer of 2013 and made a further 87 appearances, which produced 7 goals and 9 assists. Hadzic moved to Turkish side Eskiehirspor and played in 16 matches for them. He scored twice and set up another four goals.

He is more at home in the defensive midfield position and also represented Austria at youth level. He has also played for the Bosnian national team since 2014 and has 14 caps to his name. He also represented his country at the Brazilian World Cup in 2014.

"I am very happy to be continuing my career at a club like this. I felt during the negotiations that Vidi wanted me, which means a lot to me. There are simple targets in Szekesfehervar, and I would like to win the Hungarian league with Videoton. I also want to put in performances for the team that will convince the Bosnian national team manager that I can be in his team. My compatriot, Asmir Suljic has spoken a lot about Videoton to me over recent days. He confirmed to me that I am coming to a very good place" - commented Anel Hadzic after signing his contract with the club.
