"It is an irony that our first league match is against my last team, which is DVTK. There have been lots of changes over the summer to the Miskolc squad. They also have a new manager that has arrived, and he came from Vidi. I am sure that DVTK will be tough opponents on Sunday. Our win on Thursday in the Europa League has given us strength, as we managed to play well against a strong side. This win will have a good impact on our confidence. It is important for us to make a good start to the league season. We must not allow DVTK to impose their will on the game, and we will need to dominate. Diosgyőr never make it easy against any side and most clubs double their efforts when they are playing Videoton. We are fortunate to have a big squad so I do not think playing Thursday's and Sunday's will cause us problems. It gives us the chance to rotate things. We always try to win each game and we want to kick off the new season well. We also want to do as well as we can in the Europa League" - commented David Barczi.
