- How did your football career begin and why did you choose this sport?

I was 7 years old when I started to play football. Football was my first love. I have kept with this amazing sport ever since. I really enjoy playing football until today, which I never consider it to be my work. This is a love, which has continued throughout my life. I do not know and cannot imagine my life without football. I am 33 years old and have played in several countries. My love for the game has always been at the forefront.

- Have you always been forward?

Not only a forward. I have played in other positions, like a winger and a play maker. I was young when I moved to Holland. That is an amazing league for a young footballer. It is there where they showed us how to play in more than one position. The Dutch really do pay attention to this. I always pay thanks to those coaches and professionals who worked with me in Holland. I have a lot to thank them for, and I am sure that without them I would not have reached the success that I have in my career.

- What did you know about Vidi when you made the decision to continue your playing career here?

I have Hungarian friends so it is normal that I have spoken with them about Videoton. I called them when the chance of moving to Szekesfehervar arose. Everyone was very positive about the club, which made my decision easier. I know that Hungarian football has clearly started to improve over recent years, which can be seen in the way Hungary performed in France. It was important for me to join a club that has serious aims. I am 33 and do not at all feel old. I have not come here to play out my career, but want to win trophies with Vidi. I am ambitious like the football club.

- You became a first division player with Partizan, with the two clubs having a very memorable game 32 years ago.

Yes, although I was only a year and a half at the time. I do not remember the game because of that. However, I know that Videoton did really well in the UEFA cup in the mid 80's, and Partizan were knocked out in the match in Szekesfehervar.

- There have been two Hungarian international players who have been team mates of yours. How do you remember back to them?

Yes, I was with Balazs Dzsudzsak at PSV, and played with Szabolcs Huszti at Zenit. Both are very good players and also good people. They are still friends of mine till this day and I am proud about this.

- You have won 5 league titles with 3 teams. Do you have a favourite?

No I do not have won. I look back to each of them in the same way and am proud of all of them. Winning each trophy was special for me. As I have already said, the years spent in Holland played a big part in my career. I made so many friends and learned to speak Dutch. This does not mean that the Dutch title is any more special than the one in Serbia or Russia. I enjoyed each one of them. The national team is also very important to me and I played 47 times for my country. I still smile about the fact that I was an international for 3 countries in my career. The first was Yugoslavia, then Serbia and Montenegro and finally Serbia.

- You scored a historic goal for the Serbian national team in 2006.

Yes, I am am very proud that I scored the first goal for the Serbian national team. It was against the Czech Rep in the summer of 2006 in a friendly. The Czech side took the lead but we came back to win 3-1 and the first Serbian goal was scored by me.

- Will your family be joining you in Hungary?

Yes, my family will be coming with me. I have two children, a 7 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. They will go to school and nursery here in Hungary. Everyone is excited and looking forward to this new chapter, which I hope will include success here for Vidi.
