The 47 capped Serbian international arrives to Vidi having won 5 league titles in his career.

Danko Lazovics signed for Videoton FC on Tuesday. The Serbian forward, who was capped 47 times for his country, was born in Kragujevac on the 17th May 1983. He signed for Partizan Belgrade as a youngster and made his way through their youth system. He became a regular in the very strong Serbian side between 2002 and 2003, helping them to the league title. That brought him a move to Holland and Feyenoord. He made 41 league appearances for the Rotterdam club, before a loan spell in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen. Lazovics returned to Partizan, before another period in Holland with Vitesse.
The 2006-2007 season was a successful one for the now Serbian international player. He scored 19 goals in the Dutch first division that season. The Serbian forward moved to PSV in the following season. Lazovics was a team mate of Hungarian international Balazs Dzsudzsak at the Eindhoven club. The 184cm player then joined Russian club Zenit in 2010. He helped them to two title wins, while scoring 17 goals for them. That earned him a move to FK Rostov, before returning home to Partizan. Lazovics was most recently with Chinese club Beijing Enterprises, and he played 28 times for the Asian club and scored 13 goals, as well as 5 assists. He returned to Europe in the spring, but could not complete a transfer to Slovenian club Olimpia Ljubljana due to an administrative problem.
Vidi's latest signing has won the Serbian league title twice, which he repeated in Russia. He also won the Dutch league with PSV. He scored 52 goals in the Dutch first division, 18 in the Russian top league and 40 in the Serbian first division. Lazovics has represented Serbia 47 times and scored 11 times for his country, which included playing at the World Cup in 2010. He has played 47 times in UEFA games, which has netted him 14 goals and 11 assists.
"I would first of all like to thank Videoton FC for their trust in me. When the chance arose to move to Hungary, I spoke to some Hungarian players that I am friends with about the possibility. They all spoke highly of Hungarian football and of Videoton FC. You can see this development by the performances of the Hungarian national side at the European Championships. Naturally I have been following the tournament despite Serbia not being there. I had several offers to choose from, but I really wanted to join a club where I could continue my career and fight for serious targets. I felt during negotiations that both the club and my own ambitions were the same. This played a major part in my decision to sign. Unfortunately the last six months have not gone according to plan due to administrative reasons. I am still in top condition despite this and can hardly wait to show the supporters what I can do on the pitch!" - commented Danko Lazovics following his signing.
"A lot of work has gone into bringing this quality forward to Szekesfehervar. The fact that Vidi is a serious club played a big part in the player's decision and the fact that there are serious targets. Everyone has seen just how motivated Danko Lazovics is since his arrival. I could personally see this during the negotiations and personal discussions. He has serious international experience and I am pleased that he has decided to join Videoton FC. Danko is technical, and a good dribbler, and a strong forward that has joined our club. He will not help with goals but also play his part in the team by setting up his team mates. He has had several top Hungarian team mates during his career, so it was easy to get information about him, which perhaps cannot be seen on the pitch. He is a quality player who does not need too much of an introduction to those that move around the footballing world" - commented director of football Zoltan Kovacs.
Danko Lazovics will wear the number 7 shirt for Vidi. The 33 year old player will not be able to play in the Europa League Q1 due to international clearance not yet being received. That means that he will not be in the squad to face Zaria Balti.

UEFA have named Macedonian match officials for the first leg game at the Pancho Arena.

The 27 year old midfielder has mutually left the club.

Balzan FC’s squad is valued at around 3 million euros, and they are competing in the Europa League for the third time.

The Videoton director of football gave his thoughts on the pre-season training camp.

The new Videoton manager shared his thoughts on the 10 day training camp and also commented about the youngsters that travelled with the squad.

The forward scored the only goal of the game and gave his reaction after the final whistle.
