Krisztian Geresi made his first division debut on the 28th November in a match against MTK. He then scored his first goal for the first team on the 12th December against Paks, which was also the winning goal. That was also the last ever goal at the Sostoi stadium.

Krisztian Geresi has convinced the management of the club of what he is capable of with his performances. That has resulted in him signing a long term contract extension with Videoton FC.

"I am very pleased that after getting my first ever professional contract last year, from the club that developed me through its youth system, I have now signed an extension until the summer of 2019. It feels good that they are counting on me for the long term, and I am happy that I have managed to show what I can do over the recent months. I am not thinking about what will happen with me in a few years time. I am not thinking about playing football in a stronger league abroad. All I want to do is celebrate successes as a Vidi player. This is all I am concentrating on and this is what I am working on very hard each day. I want to get as much chance of playing as possible. There are really good players at the club in my position, so it will not be easy for me" - commented Krisztian Geresi after signing his extension.
