Videoton played their third pre-season friendly game against German Bundesliga 2 side Kaiserslautern on Tuesday. Manager Ferenc Horvath made changes to his side that had played against Union Berlin a few days earlier. Kovacsik, Vinicius, Fejes and Heffler all started the game, while Danilovics, Lang, Stopira and Simon were on the bench. The opponents included a Finnish international (Alexander Ring), A Norwegian national (Ruben Jenssen) and the Icelandik international player Jón Dadi Bödvarsson in their line-up.

There were four minutes on the clock when the German team captain, Halfar, targeted the Vidi goal, but his shot was not did not end up threatening the Videoton goal. It was Daniel Halfar who again tried his luck after 15 minutes. This time from 14 meters out as his shot went wide of the post. The German side had a free kick after 29 minutes, which was played in to the Vidi box. Wucur rose high to head his effort towards the bottom right hand corner, which produced a lovely save from Kovacsik. Good link up play after 31 minutes ended with Kovacs shooting wide from 17 meters out. The final moment of the first half saw a dangerous free kick from Heffler, but the ball came off the wall and away from danger.

Kovacs released Nego down the right after 54 minutes, who played a first time ball in to the middle, but the ball did not find Feczesin, who had burst into the box. Przybylko tested Kovacsik on 57 minutes with a powerful shot, but again the keeper did well to deny the German side as he tipped the ball over from under the bar.

There were several changes on the hour mark by Ferenc Horvath, with young players again being given the chance to show what they could do. There were no real chances in the remaining minutes as the game ended without any goals.

It was the third friendly in Spain without the team conceding a goal.
