Birthday boy Loic Nego scores Vidi's first goal of 2016

Vidi recorded a Friday afternoon 1-0 win against a local Spanish side.

Friday afternoon's program included a match against a local Spanish XI. The opponents included professional players that were currently without a club. There was plenty of interest in the stands because of this. The transfer window season is open and the players on show had a chance to show what they could do.

Vidi lined up as follows: Danilovics - Szolnoki, Szekeres, Lang, Stopira - Heffler, Simon - Paudits, Kovács, Rudolf - Feczesin. The first 45 minutes saw plenty of battles around the pitch but without a goal being scored. The second half saw Vidi line up with the following players: Kovácsik - Nego, Juhász, Vinícius, Fejes - Kiprich, Pátkai - Sejben, Géresi, Suljic - Feczesin (Paudits 65'). Vidi enjoyed more attacks during the second period and the breakthrough came after 59 minutes. Sejben played Nego in with a chance on goal. The right back made no mistake showing good skill to slot the ball through the keepers legs. This ended up being the only goal and deciding the outcome of the match. Vidi will be up against FC Union Berlin on Sunday in another friendly game.

Ferenc Horvath post match comments: „We will never play with this formation as we did at the start of the first half. The result was not really the most important. Our defending looked good throughout. I could say that we were more organized in the second half. The players put in plenty of energy during the game, with birthday boy Loic Nego ending up scoring the goal that won us the match. Today's friendly played a good part in our preparations."
