Certain European sides will be playing in play-off games in the European Championship ahead of the 2016 finals in France. There are also certain parts around the World where teams are already playing qualifying games for the 2018 Russian World cup. The Cape Verde national side will play two games against Kenya. Vidi left back has been called up by his national side for these qualifiers.

The first match will be played on the 13th November in Nairobi. The return leg in Praia will be played four days later on the 17th November. Stopira will link up with the rest of the national team players on Monday 9th November.
