Honved went through in the Hungarian cup in extra time against Soroksar. They arrive to Szekesfehervar having lost their last OTP league match away at Ferencvaros. Marco Rossi's side have won four matches and drawn a further four. They have lost three games and sit in fifth place in the table with sixteen points. The Budapest side have scored fifteen and conceded thirteen with a third of the season having past. Dorde Kamber and Souleymane Youla both have four goals to their names already.

Vidi suffered an opening day defeat away at Honved. The red and blues lost 1-0 at the Boszik stadium. Videoton won last season's league match at the Sostoi with a 1-0 scoreline thanks to a goal by Istvan Kovacs.
