Asmir Suljic signs for Videoton FC

One of the best dribblers in the Hungarian league has moved to Szekesfehervar to continue his playing career.

Videoton FC have signed Asmir Suljic from Ujpest FC after the two clubs agreed terms on Friday.

The Bosnian winger was born in Srebenica on the 11th September 1991. He played his youth football at FK Butar, before signing for one of the biggest sides in the country in the form of FK Sarajevo. He made 91 appearances for them scoring 15 goals, which earned him a move to Ujpest in season 2013/14.

Suljic soon became a key player in the Hungarian league. He helped Ujpest to the Hungarian cup final win in his first season. He scored 3 goals and provided 9 assists in that 2014/15 season. The 171cm player, who was a former U21 international for his country already has 4 assists this season in the 6 matches to date.

"It is a big step in my career as several clubs showed interest in me. I felt that Videoton FC wanted me the most. I am sure that I have made the right choice. I know that it will be a big fight to break in to the team, but I know the squad well and will give 100% in each training session. Football is for supporters, so my aim is to play attractively and entertain the supporters" - commented Asmir Suljic, who has signed a 3 year deal.
