The Hungarian national side comfortably beat Lithuania 4-0. There was a place in the starting line up for Szolnoki and Nikolics, who scored a lovely goal, while it was a debut game for Szolnoki at right back.

"I am very happy that I could make my debut in the senior side. I could not have dreamt of a better debut. I cannot put it in to words just what a fantastic feeling it was to run out on to the pitch in the national shirt. It felt just as special to line-up and sing the national anthem and then play in the national team. I had a sense following Friday's training session that I would be given the chance by Pal Dardai. The set piece routines that were put up in the dressing room included my name on it. Things became certain on Friday morning when the squad headed off for a walk. The national team manager came over to me and said that I would be given one half in the evening match. The unfortunate injury to Fiola then meant that I would remain on the pitch. I was pleased about this but would like to wish my team mate a quick recovery. Pal Dardai asked me before the game that I should play with the same composure as I do for my club side. I felt that I managed to produce a good performance, but it is true that Lithuania did not really attack us too much. That meant that I did not have to concentrate only on the defensive side of the game. The national team boss then congratulated the team after the match and especially to me, which felt really good. We have been given Monday off to rest. We will move in to Telki next week and remain together until the match with Finland. I will try my best to continue training hard in the days that are left. Hopefully I can show that he can count on me for the game with Finland. It will be a very important match, but I will not be disappointed if I do not play in the match as the most important things is to bring the 3 points back from Finland" - commented Roland Szolnoki to vidi.hu

"I am pleased to have been given another chance in the national side. I am also delighted with the goal that I scored. I received a lovely ball from Dzsudzsak, which I controlled well and then curled the ball in to the top corner. My fate will be decided in the coming days and possible as early as next week where I can sign the contract with my new club. Things are not that simple at the moment but I will do my best to concentrate on the national team. We are going to Finland to win next week" - commented Nemanja Nikolics.

"I knew on the day of the match that I would be in the starting line-up, which I was naturally delighted about. It felt really good to play with Szolnoki behind me. I would like to congratulate him for making his debut. There was also Nikolics in front of me and Tozser, in the middle, helped me a lot. It was a very good match on the whole. We won confidently and that will give us confidence ahead of next week's match with Finland, which is an important qualification match" - commented Adam Simon.
