Gyorgy Sandor leaves Videoton after five and a half years

He was one of the most successful Vidi players, winning virtually everything with the club that can be won in Hungary. He has written himself in to the clubs history books.

Gyorgy Sandor joined Vidi during the 2009/10 winter transfer window from Ujpest. He quickly became a key player for the club. Sandor made 136 first division appearances in five and a half years of playing for Vidi. He scored a total of 16 goals in those matches. He played in the Champions League qualifier against Sturm Graz in 2011 and scored one of the goals in the 3-2 home leg win. He played in all 12 Europa League games during the memorable run a year later. Sandor also scored one of the goals in the 3-0 win over Portuguese side Sporting.

Gyorgy Sandor won virtually all trophies possible apart from the Hungarian cup. He was also chosen by his team mates as the club captain for the last few years.

Sandor' contract with the club ended on the 31st May. Videoton FC would like to thank him for his services and wish him the best in his playing career.

Az ilyenkor szokásos orvosi felmérésekkel indult a csapat hete.
