The Portuguese midfielder has been in excellent form lately, while Vidi are counting on him for the future. The club has agreed a further two year deal with the player.

Filipe Oliveira arrived to Szekesfehervar in the summer of 2011 from Serie A club, Parma. He had earlier been on the books of Chelsea and was even picked in the starting line-up by José Mourinho. His first year with Vidi was on loan, but that move became permanent in 2012 when he signed a 3 year deal with the club.
The last 4 years has seen Filipe make 81 appearances in the Hungarian first division, which has produced 13 goals. This season has been his most successful with 6 goals and 11 assists in the first division games. That put him in third place in the domestic Canadian table. His performances and attitude have helped him clinch a new two years deal.
„Firstly I have to say thank you to the club and to Mr Burcsa. I was offered a new contract extension a long time ago and I said then that it was my target at the start of the season to be offered one. I knew that over the last year the most important thing for me was to paint a new image, whether I would stay or leave the club. I think that I have achieved this and would like to thank my manager and team mates. They helped me a lot to perform the way that I have. I want to stay at this club as I have been treated with a lot of respect from the first day that I arrived. I have a lot of respect for the people at the club who have always been very correct with me. I feel that each time I have the chance to play for Vidi, I have to give everything that I have. This is as a result of the special bond that I have with the football club. My family are fortunately very settled here in Hungary. We feel that we are part of the Videoton family. The club announced the birth of both my daughters when they were born. It is a big pleasure for me to fight for the colours of this club, and try to help them achieve the aims. I have always had the fortune to play for good teams. They were always at a good level to be able to win a trophy. Videoton is no exception and we fight every day in training to try to become the best team in the country. We would like to put Videoton at a very good level in Europe. We know that the Champions League will be a massive challenge for us. The very best clubs in Europe participate in this competition. We want to fight and work very hard to be there. All of the players want to play in this competition. Our aim next year is to do our best to give a fantastic image of this club" - commented Filipe Oliveira after signing his contract extension.
"I would like to congratulate Filipe for the performances that he has put recently. I would also like to congratulate him on the contract extension. We are all clear with the fact that in the life of a professional footballer, money plays an important part, but at the same time big results will remain forever. It was very important for me that during the negotiations process with Oliveira, I could feel from a professional point of view that at least there was the same importance in his decisions in relation to money and also the importance for him to play in the Champions League for Videoton. We have signed a footballer for two further seasons who has a very good mentality and is also a determined player" - reacted club director Győző Burcsa who commented on the contract extension.
