The treatment that the pitch received during the summer helped to provide a quality surface over the following months.
"The most important thing is that the pitch survived the winter. There was a colder period in the last months when the grass was cold and it froze, but it has recovered. We have been checking the state of the pitch on a regular basis since the final match in December. We then worked the pitch with spray fertilization in January, which was repeated again at the end of February. You can see the effects of the spring - summer treatments now. Then we added the latest grass seed mix and the results can be seen. There is a little bit of a brown colouring, but the grass in healthy underneath and the nice and green. We will have a good pitch for the spring, and I hope that the pitch will stand up well to the matches to come" - commented Laszlo Szeman, who has been treating the pitch over the recent period.
