Istvan Vad refereed last season's Debrecen-Vidi game in September, as well as the November fixture between DVTK and Videoton. He was also in charge of the Vidi - Győri ETO game in March. He joined the FIFA group of referees in 2007, and made it in to the Champions League match officials in 2010.

He has refereed three games this season so far. Those were the matches against Lombard Papa, Pecs and most recently against Dunaujvaros. He will be assisted by Gyorgy Ring and Daniel Szalai, while the fourth official will be Sandor Ando Szabo for Wednesday' cup match.
