First in the league, quarterfinals in both cup competitions at the half way stage. The autumn season was perfect?

Even if it was not perfect, the team did perform really well over the entire autumn. I would pick out two games in the league, which did not go the way we had planned. Those were the matches against Debrecen and Kecskemet. We should have won the big home match against Ferencvaros, but could only pick up a point unfortunately. We collected 44 points from 51 in the league, which helped us to build a cushion from the rest. We also picked up big wins in the cup, so we are also moving forwards on that front. 

Besides the results, which is naturally the most important, it appeared from the outside that the team played with freedom and also attractively. Was this the case?

Exactly. It is also very important besides the results that we played well. Our initiative in each case, whether we played at home or away was to score many goals, which we did, while we only conceded 6 goals. The latter played a large part in the success, as the strong defence provided great stability to the team. The players fought for each other overall during the whole of the last few months, which was confirmed by the good results. With the exception of the already mentioned game at Kecskemet, we played really well in all of our away games, and won comfortably. Although we only played 6 away matches, we still claimed second place in the away league table.

You scored 5 goals, and some of them were super. How would you sum up your own performance?

Other players would stand their ground playing in the position that I have been playing in. I am thinking here of Alvarez, Kleinheisler or Oliveira, so primarily with regards to my own good performances over the autumn, and to also score goals, I had to have very good players behind me. We pull each other forwards, while also knowing that if we do not perform well, another player will come in our place.

How has your winter break been going?

It is very rare that I can go home to my family during the year, so I tried to spend time with them over recent weeks and prepare myself for the spring.
