Videoton met Paris Saint-Germain in a pre-season friendly match in the Austrian town of Gleisdorf. There were several star players in the French teams starting line-up. They included Argentian star Javier Pastore and Brazilian duo Lucas and Marquinhos.

Several of the Vidi UEFA cup final team of 1984 were among the crowd at the compact stadium including Jozsef Szabo, Ferenc Csongradi, Istvan Borsanyi and Gyozo Burcsa, who were all part of the Vidi side that had beaten PSG in all 3 of their games that season.

Vidi led three times in a very good match against PSG, but they ended up finally losing the match by one goal. The players left the pitch with their heads held high.
