Joan Carrillo was chosen by two journals as their coach of the year. The nb1.hu site saw the Hungarian journalists cast their vote, while the rangado.hu collected the votes of the first division teams, Vidi's head coach has travelled back home to Barcelona with his family, but before boarding the flight, gave a short interview to the club website. "I would like to thank everyone who chose me as the best coach in Hungary for 2014. I would firstly like to thank the players, members of the coaching staff, as they all worked really hard during the whole year. This award is a recognition of their work as well. The award is not mine, but all the people who work at Videoton FC. You cannot achieve success alone. I would also like to add my thanks to the supporters, who backed the team throughout, and they played a lionshare in the success.
